I think part of the criticism of the Titans game was that he was not hitting on sideline throws, since Tennessee was focusing on taking away the middle of the field. Maybe he was trying to answer that criticism, though obviously he did not on this occasion.

It's something I expect him to work on this off-season, hitting sideline throws. He's above average hitting just about every spot on the field except those deep sideline throws where he's only average:
