I binged the first 3 seasons in a few days before season 4 and its just crack. Liked it so much I bought the books to read them. Idk which I like more, different enough to feel like totally different stories yet similar enough to still be the same story if that makes any fucking sense at all lol.

I've never enjoyed reading, still don't but the books are really good. Just keep them next to the shitter and leave your phone outside the bathroom. Only problem is when your legs fall asleep or you've been sitting on the toilet for a few hours.

Yea man..the books are real good reads. I used to enjoy reading, stopped for a long time, and got back into it with Game of Thrones. But I just got too busy and haven't read in a while. But you could easily lose track of time either watching the show or reading the books.

And I know what you mean.. Reading the books and watching the show are two completely different things but one in the same.

That's a great way to get hemorrhoids as well.

I'd be more worried about all the dick you take giving you hemorrhoids before cutting out your poop reads.

I'm glad I watched the show before reading the books because obviously they can't fit everything into the show that the books have so I don't feel like I had this expectation for the show whereas I did have this expectation for the books and then got so much more on top of it.

Exactly my reasoning behind deciding to wait until the show ends to read em.

The show is past the books I believe. Didn't they have an interview come out with the show's writers/directors/whatever they are saying that George already had told them how the books will end so they can keep chugging along while he writes since they're so far away from one another now? Could have sworn I watched that interview somewhere on the interwebs.

Also, I love that the show is supposedly only going to be 8 seasons long. It won't run on like so many shows do and turn into shit.

8 seasons is long, but on the contrary, it's only 10 episode seasons. So they should be able to make a solid show without ruining it by dragging it out. Just hope things get more interesting because last season was kind of a snooze fest outside of Rosabell Laurenti Sellers' tits

but yea they're pretty much done with the books from what I've seen. They started veering off from them in season 3 I believe and completely cut it off this past season.

Massive as fuck and only goes through season 4 but yeah....lol

Also had to google tits, so many tits hard to remember who is who. But yeah they had to do a lot of setup plus they chose not to show Bran so we have his entire story line coming, what happens with Jon because we know he's not dead, Zombie Mountain (spoiler lol  ). Mostly I'm excited for Arya now, can't wait to see (lol puns) what they do with her.

Unless you're fanatical about a certain book series, you learn early on to go in with low expectations when you read something before you watch the adaptation. I think the only time I've ever been truly disappointed with that situation was World War Z and that's only because the movie shared nothing other than the name.

The battle of Hardhome was worth season 5 not being as on point as the rest. Holy shit that was probably the best 20 mins of television I ever watched
