It is, I wonder why he didn't just retire? But that's good to see Walden back, he isn't the greatest and gets burnt hard on the run but he's an upgrade over some of our other OLB's at times.

I know some of you may not like this, but I can see driver possibly not making the team after Pre-Season, would be tough but Shaky Smithson and Gurley are both looking for places to play so it won't be a cake walk by any means. Unless...... We decide to not have 5 TE's this year and have 6 WR's! I wouldn't mind that at all to be honest, 4 TE (If quarless comes back from that nasty knee injury) and then 6 WR's/(1/2)Returners

Same reason Colledge didn't just retire last season - they believe they still have what it takes to be a starter somewhere. Sometimes guys have a real hard time accepting it. I wouldn't be surprised to see Clifton end up retiring soon though.

I'd like to see them cut back on the number of TEs and LBs they carry (especially since most of them are only used on ST), but I don't know that there's a good chance that happens. I don't know that there's any way they cut Driver. Maybe he decides it's best to retire instead of playing one more year, but I really can't see them just cutting him. I think if it came down to that, it's more likely that either Shaky or Gurley get axed than Driver.

I think you mean Tauscher on this but, true. I see the real result of the cut was because he failed his physical, so either his knee's or back or hips or whatever is still pretty bad on Clifton.

Yeah, I'm getting ahead of my self too, I love driver I just hate to see us let talent slip through our hands.

Yeah, I got mixed up on who walked and who was cut. Clifton should know well enough that he's just hurting himself by playing anymore. It's sad to see it happen, but his body has reached the breaking point.

I can't remember where, but I read somewhere that Week 1 will be the first time Smith and ARod play each other. I know that's not true. Pretty sure it's actually like their third meeting.

Such a bummer and a shot to our secondary. What do we do now? Draft a safety early? Draft a corner early and move Woodson? GL, TT. Will be interesting to see how we handle this unfortunate loss.

We draft an OLB/DE early thats what.

This years safety class is weak.

Was just going to say this. Drafting a safety early would be a huge mistake.

I feel like we have enough picks that between our 1st, 3rd, and some of those 4ths+ we could come up with 3 second round picks. Safety Harrison and BPA OLB/DE.

It's a tough year to do that because at this point most teams want to trade back, not jump up to grab somebody.
