I would shit myself if we won more than 6 games.  Look at our schedule, we're fucked over.

Also, I don't feel that we improved $70M.  Yes, we improved our OL--and that's HUGE.  We also got a promising CB that will hopefully resign after his short contract.  But we didn't significantly improve on DL/LB, and we got a lot older.  And our one bright spot on offense?  We let him walk.

I don't know that we'll perform significantly better this season than we did last season, it depends on Schaub almost entirely.  And then 3 years down the road, when Manning retires and our window opens...how will we look then, as compared to how we looked previously?  Not better.

And what would you say if we drafted a QB at 5, groomed him under Schaub for 2 years, then let him start once Manning retires? Packers did that with Rodgers.

I'd say that we gained primarily under the draft, as opposed to FA.

But I don't think I want to groom any of the QBs this year. I'd rather groom next year.

I would still consider FA a major bust. Hell we didn't even get Schaub in FA, we traded for him.

We should just agree to disagree. I really think Bortles or Manziel will be the gems of this draft. I'd be perfectly okay with either of them, Mack, Clowney, or maybe even Watkins (though I'd like that less).

Only time will tell on the QBs. I think the most telling sign that we haven't reached the QB we want to draft is that there IS a difference of opinion. I'd wait until there's a consensus "best QB" and jump on that, trading up as much as we need to to make it happen.

I'd love to see the Raiders draft a QB and prove me wrong though. As long as the team is winning.

Idk man, Tuck, Smith and Woodley are all above average players at their position
We saw last year that Nick Roach and Sio Moore are both also good, strong, solid players
Tyvon Branch and Woodson at safety have 0 question marks.

It'll be interesting to see how Tarrell Brown and DJ Hayden do at corner. That's where I have the most worry on D.

But if you take those guys and add elite draft prospects in Clowney or Mack, that's a very very strong defensive unit.

Yea no doubt if Branch and Woodson stay healthy all year with Usama Young coming in sometimes to give them a little break, I am very confident in the safety positions. Brandian Ross isnt very good so we could use a bit more depth though.

I agree, our corner situation is a little suspect. Wish we could have hung on to Jenkins for some depth and for some packages or against the slot ect. whatever

Roach and Moore should be better after playing a year together, and Moore going into his 2nd year should hopefully be better. If we get Mack in the draft, I would also be really confident in the starting LB's, again if they stay healthy and play all year, that would be awesome. Maiva, Burris, Burnett are decent for depth.

I hear a lot of people say that Tuck, Woodley and Smith are all on the down side of their careers and had a significant drop off in play last year. I havent personally looked into that but who knows. They are also all on the wrong side of 30 i believe so they might have lost a step. idk we will see.

I like what we have on D when its all on paper with the starters but we need to see them play first. I thought they were going to be pretty good last year too and they were for the 1st half of the season and then died after that. Hopefully the same thing doesnt happen again this year but i think it just might kind of. After our starters at CB and the whole DL really we have nobody decent to come in if someone gets hurt. I would really like to draft Mack or Clowney though that would make me feel better about the D. Im not saying those signings are bad or anything like that just saying i dont think they are gona totally be beasts like they have been before in their careers. I love the Raiders as much as anyone so i hope i am wrong and they show me something!! still good pick ups
