not specific to this post, but i think people have changed and/or misconstrued the definition of a trap game. A trap game is when you play a weaker opponent and have a stronger opponent or rival the next week so you are not focused on the task at hand. It has been changed to sometimes being based on a Vegas line, but that is not a trap game.

A divisional opponent should never be a trap game because they are important by definition.

Off the top of my head the Chargers at Miami is a trap game. Miami sucks so the Chargers could be looking ahead to Denver (who also sucks but w/e you get it)

Yeah, I was using the term as synonymous with upset, but there is a distinction there.
