What do you think about the power weapons though? I like the balancing part of it. The only thing I don't like is that it feels it takes a long time to find someone. My melee feels underpowered. My grenades feel fucking horrid. But if there is one thing I notice is that you can flank a lot easier and pick a couple of guys off.
For the most part they’re balanced well. Shotguns need a slight buff. Snipersneed to be almost completely reworked. As soon as you get shot you have to disengage and run because you have no hope of actually hitting your shot. You must have teammates supporting you because descope and rescope takes forever as well as your radar coming back up. Damage needs to be retuned. A 3 round mag should one shot anybody in the chest unless they have overshield or a damage reducing super up. Then a headshot should still one shot those players.
I can probably count on my hands the number of games I played in D1 without a sniper equipped. In D2 I won’t even bother unless I have at least two people with me calling out. It doesn’t make sense to use one solo when a linear fusion pretty much does everything a sniper can but better.
PvP changes I want:
-Power ammo is dropped on death. Tie it to a percentage. I die with 3 sniper shots that’s 50%, you pick up the brick and get 1 rocket. They changed the game to be closer to Halo but didn’t give us things like that to keep the pace.
-Radar nerf. Either severely reduce the range or moderately reduce the range and make it so you only show when shooting or using an ability. As it is now, you can see people halfway across most maps on radar. Makes it so that you can’t do a surprise split push or solo flank without engaging a team fight first. Good teams just see it coming and collapse on the solo player.
-Remove all RNG from flinch. It is flat out stupid that a gunfight comes down to who randomly gets their aim tossed more, especially between players using the same weapon.
-Remove bloom from hand cannons. It was awful in Reach, it was awful in D1, it’s awful in D2. How they still don’t get it is beyond me.
-Increase movement speed and ability recharge slightly. No more than 10%. Just enough to get a few extra nades each game and put you back in the fight a little faster.
