I agree.

Verner was one of those signings where at first you were like "why the fuck did we sign this guy" then all of a sudden "good thing we signed that guy"
Same with EDS, just a complete FAIL then played decently.

I also think if we do keep Collins, our offensive line should be as such:

LT - Dotson (give him a shot why not)
LG - Mankins
C - EDS
RG - Collins
RT - ???

If Iupati or Franklin sign, move Collins to RT

Make way for the future: Bucs release QB Josh McCown http://fw.to/kobsZPL

Well - one of my offseason predictions down.. Many more to follow.

My offseason predicitions
aka my wishlist

Cut

P - Michael Koenen (rumored going to happen)
S - Dashon Goldson
QB - Josh Mccown
LT - Anthony Collins (rumored going to happen)
WR - Vincent Jackson (if not tradeable)
RE - Michael Johnson

Trade

QB - Mike Glennon [3rd the highest , 5th the lowest]
WR - Vincent Jackson [2nd the highest , 3rd the lowest]
HB - Doug Martin [4th if possible would accept anything lower]

Sign (Free Agency)

QB - Brian Hoyer (probably wont happen, but remember this is a dreamlist)
HB - Mark Ingram
WR - Randall Cobb or Cecil Shorts (and make Mike Evans the #1)
Tackle - Brian Bulaga
Guard - Mike Iupati or Orlando Frankin
RE - Greg Hardy or Jason Pierre-Paul (I doubt either will be available)
S - Devin Mccourty

Draft

R1 - QB - Marcus Mariota
R2 - G - Arie Kouandjio
R3 - DE - Owamagbe Odighizuwa (that's only if we cannot land Hardy or JPP

So in conclusion:

- We've improved (slightly) at offensive line
- We've improved at saftey
- We've improved at defensive end
- We have our QB of the future, with a decent back up.
- Replaced our vet WR with a younger and better receiver in Cobb
- Replaced our 1 year wonder in Doug Martin, for someone who finally showed his potential in Mark Ingram

Yes it may seem expensive, but when haven't seen the playoffs in years. I'm not saying this roster is guaranteed to make the playoffs but who knows?
With the roster we had in 2014, the media was saying how we would win the South and make the playoffs.

He's owed way to much money for his age and his production.

Yes I'm aware if Randall Cobb hit Free Agency he'd be just as expensive if not more expensive than Cobb, but Cobb is young, productive, and a sure thing.

But if we keep VJ I'd be just as happy.

Buccaneers Rumors: Sam Bradford Trade, Kirk Cousins Targets After Josh McCown Released Over Jameis Winston, Marcus Mariota?

Code
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers could look at the NFL trade market for a quarterback this offseason over selecting Marcus Mariota or Jameis Winston in the draft, as Sam Bradford and Kirk Cousins could be potential targets for Lovie Smith and this comes as Josh McCown was released and that could mean Mike Glennon will get a chance for another year.

According to MMQB.com writer Andrew Brandt, the Buccaneers have decided to release Josh McCown this offseason. The team signed him for two years and $10 million last offseason and now he is out after one year and $4.75 million. The Bucs hoped that McCown could be a bridge quarterback for the team as Lovie Smith took over, but that turned out to be a bad move, as he had a tough season along with the Buccaneers.

McCown had a strong season with the Bears before signing with the Bucs and now he could be a target for teams on the free agent market. The Browns, Texans, Titans and Jets are all looking for quarterbacks and he could be a potential target. The Buccaneers also may now look at the free agent market over trades or the draft depending on how they evaluate the top two prospects.

Bradford is a wild card in the NFL offseason, as Phil Sheridan writes at ESPN.com that he could "change the market" depending on what the Rams do with him. Bradford is coming into the offseason after missing all of last year with another knee injury and since he is in the final year of his deal, the media has speculated that he could be released or traded by the Rams. NFL.com reports that teams at the top of the draft could be interested in trading for Nick Foles or Bradford over taking one of the quarterbacks high.

Mariota and Winston have been identified by most scouts as the best players in this draft, but not everyone is sold on them as franchise quarterbacks. That type of indecision could be huge for a team like the Eagles, as NJ.com is reporting that the team is plotting to move up to take Mariota. Chip Kelly coached Mariota at Oregon and with the way Kelly runs his offense, he likes to have a specific type of quarterback and Tony Kornheiser said on PTI that Mariota was "perfect" for Kelly's system.

The Buccaneers finished the season as the worst team in the league with a 2-14 record and they clinched the top pick with a loss to the Saints in Week 17. The team had the same record as the Titans, but they had the advantage in strength of schedule for the season. Both teams are expected to look at quarterbacks this offseason and they could be targets to take Winston or Mariota, while the trade options are also on the table.

If this rumor is true, I wouldn't approve of a Bradford trade.

I think Hoyer (if he hit Free Agency) would be better suited. Cousins just fucking sucks.

I'm not liking either Bradford or Hoyer because their history with injuries. I really like Bradford because he seems like the coolest dude and plays well when healthy but I think it's time for them to try and make a splash with that #1 pick.

What a HAPPY HAPPY MORNING IT IS!!

Waking up to loadsa notifications on my phone telling me no more McClown.

Very happy. These rumours about sam bradford are fucking rediculous. He's a glass cannon and we don't have an OL - rather have a tougher guy like Glennon in there anyhow.

I would rather have cousins than hoyer

He had a lot of really good games this season where he showed his potential. With some good preparation, he could be good.

We still need to get one in the draft though, id be fine with ucla's qb in the 2nd round

Honestly out of every free agent QB on the market, I'd prefer Matt Moore.

e - But that's only because I've always wanted Moore as a Buc, no idea why.
