Vernon has been more productive as well. Curry was playing out of position in a 3-4 Def, but still.

The deal Curry just got will be the absolute floor for Vernon's deal. I'd have no problem if we gave him 10 mil per year.

That's insane, Vernon started playing better AFTER Cam Wake got injured, he should have dominated when Wake and Suh were both on the line. He barely took advantage of those 1 on 1 matchups. Don't get me wrong, he's still a talented pass rusher but I wouldn't be okay with giving him 10 mil a year. Let's say he signs somewhere between 5 years 55m (someone will hands down pay this), give or take a couple, that's at least 27-30m guaranteed.

Curry just got like 8 mil per year. 10 mil for Vernon is right on par with what he'll get. Teams always need pass rushers and he's only 25. He'll get 10 mil a year. The amount of money that Suh got is out right insane.

I agree, the contract Suh got was just outrageous, it was the same situation with Mike Wallace's contract, the front office just wanted to prove to the fans that they're serious contenders by going out and signing the top available free agent. I'm not saying Vernon won't get 10m a year, I'm just saying that I will fucking riot if we give that to him. I'm already at peace with the fact that he's gone next season, franchise tag is not an option either with 15+ million.
