Reading on NFL.com that Vikes trying to move up to get TEO

Not sure how I feel

Loved our first 2 picks.

Can't believe we gave up all that to move back into the first...
Patterson has talent but I think he would have been there in the second, We could have moved up in the second and paid half the price.

Gotta trust Speilman though.

in speilman we trust! Grabbed a top notch DT, top notch CB, and a Boom or bust in patterson to learn from Jennings, I love the moves.... i do agree we could have gotten someone like woods or hunter in the 2nd round and maybe given up less. But Patterson has so much potential

I was feeling really good about the draft after our first 2 picks, then shefter comes out and says were about to deal out 2nd,3rd and 4th to get back into the 1st and I cringed.

It's a tough pill to swallow but can't pout about it. Cant wait for the season to start.

At least we didnt trade up to get TEO I would have puked.

It's not that much if you think about it, upgrade the 2nd to a 1, the 4th was a spare we got from the lions

So in reality give up a 3rd and spare 4th to upgrade our 2nd rounder

I LOVE all 3 picks , addressed needs at 3 positions in th 20's with top tier guys

Floyd was ranked 2nd at his position
Rhodes ranked 4th at his position
And Patterson was 2nd

I mean that crazy how good we did.

It looks like people are questioning what they gave up for Patterson. Yes he's super raw , but he's also super talented. He will need to work on route running but for now he's extremely talented and versatile when the ball is dumped off to him to make plays (which is what Christian did all last year with Percy) Not to mention he fills and immediate need at PR and KR. I think Tavon is more talented right now, but Cordarrelle is a bigger version of Tavon with a higher ceiling.

We did have to give up something for him but it wasnt that bad. Our 2nd became a first and we gave up a 3rd and spare 4th( between these two picks we would
Of had to take a WR of much less value/potential)

And Spielman still has time to maybe work his way into the end of the 3rd maybe depending on what LB's are there.


People can question it if they want which is fair, but I see a homerun so far

wouldn't be surprised to see us move back into the mid 3rd today

I'm def happy with the draft, based off pre-draft value we had a GREAT first round.

Picking a punter in the 5th was a bit of a head scratcher, but so wasnt picking a kicker last year and we see how that worked out. sadly i see kluwe possibly being cut soon.

besides that, was a great all around draft. we will need to address the linebacker situation still, we took a couple fliers but nothing solid.

maybe a urlacher rental? haha
