RG3 was successful but got hurt because he doesn't know when to slide or run out of bounds. Manziel does know how to do that.
I think it depends entirely on the QB's commitment to winning and improving and getting better, and all the things I've seen about Manziel seem to imply that. I have 100% faith that if we build a strong team via the remainder of free agency, like we've already begun to do, drafting Manziel will be the best thing for this organization. Manziel is the only player in this draft that has the potential to get the Raiders to 10 wins next year.
Any time you have a dual threat QB you run an increased risk of injury. RG3 was successful in his rookie year but then got hurt, which is a concern of all "dual threat" type QBs as they have a higher chance of injury due to their rushing style.
I don't think there is a single player in this draft that can get us to 10 wins. I don't think we'd get to 10 wins if we got the first five picks of this draft.

Another great pick up. I really wonder which direction we'll be going in with pick #5.
It looks as if we're not taking an OT, nor a DE, so Matthews/Robinson/Clowney are probably off the table.
It could be a situation where we're trying to build a team and then draft a QB.
We will be taking a QB or trading down. There is no other logical play. We got a WR, we filled out our OL, we got a CB, we rebuilt our DL and our LB core is solid. There are no elite RBs, and no safeties worth taking at 5.

yea, i know hes never won ''the big one'' but hes had a decent career stat wise. I looked it up the other day and it was something like 25,000 yards with 130 TD's and 80 INT. Besides last year hes always had a lot more TD's than picks. Last year was just a bad year for the whole organization, some people had them as their SB pick. I would not mind him being our starter. Maybe he just needs a new team and a fresh start to re-amp his career, or he might just keep going down the shitter, only time will tell lol. Then again Mcgloin showed some pretty good flashes of skill last year and think he should deserve some more playing time, and there is even a lot of people who say Pryor deserves more time and really believe in the guy, we will see wont we. we just supposedly signed our new LT so lets see what happens with this one.

Schaub has been a solid starter for his whole career, and was even a "good" QB for quite some time. He definitely has more in the tank, IMO.
