Play through the story as you can. When you need to level to continue the story, chase public events. Making them Heroic is the fastest way. When you complete the story you get pushed to level 20 anyway, so don't worry about base level.

Post story leveling, you want to run Lost Sectors and Public Events to get to 265. Then do an exotic quest or milestone. Once you get that drop, repeat Pub events until you can't get any more upgrades. Do another milestone/exotic quest. Repeat until 305.


Oh and save 5 blue/purple Scout Rifles per character. Doesn't matter if they're energy or kinetic.

I think I’m like 240-250 right now, been doing a lot of public events and the patrols. I find it hard to do some of the heroic alone.


Side note, actually really enjoying this game. I still like D1 pvp better(haven’t played much yet, only like 10 total matches) I plan on getting more into that soon
