I actually had quite a few friends into the drug scene in HS, but for one reason or another, I just never tried it. Plus my dad grew, smoked, and (on a small scale) sold marijuana throughout my childhood and into today, but I just never felt like trying it.
I suppose I should try weed some day, especially since my occupation doesn't give a fuck about drug use. But I don't ever see myself spending real money on drugs. I don't make enough to add that to my list of hobbies.
weed isn't even a real drug, try it. impossible to have a bad time unless you're prone to anxiety.
i've done shrooms (many times) & LSD (a few times).
LSD is fucked up, i get why it's illegal, shrooms on the other hand, pretty mellow at low dose (1 to 2 grams), only a 4-6 hour trip, i've ate 2.5 grams a few times.. I've heard it gets really fucked up at high doses (over 3.5 dried grams), never ate that much myself. good LSD is like 10 to 12+ hour trip easy and it's the most fuxked up experience i've ever had (fucked up in a good way). LSD trip is way more surreal than mushrooms. I saw/felt/experienced some crazy shit (sound would speed up and slow down, people/things would look cartoonish, saw crazy chinese-like patterns at night in the darkness, concept of time was thrown out the window-10 hours felt like a lifetime, etc etc).
