“Trials of the Nine
As a follow-up to reported incidents of emote glitching in the Crucible, we are investigating a fix that we plan to deploy during the first week of November. In the meantime, the next two instances of Trials of the Nine will be postponed. Please stay tuned for updates. We will provide more information as it becomes available. At this time the next instance of Trials of the Nine is forecasted to resume on November 3, 2017.”

Pretty convinced they could temporarily disable the offending emotes if they wanted to, so not sure why they decided to just completely remove one of the only endgame activities instead.

Yeah then they'd have to refund everyone who bought it i guess or issue them a gift of silver. Kids would cry hard if they removed an emote they paid real money for.

If you paid real money for an emote you're a straight baby back bitch already.

Rather that than see the player base decline because of this.

Why? If you have the money, buy what makes you happy.

Because it's an action you perform very rarely and nobody sees?

Well actually everybody sees it. And when you play Trials it's displayed for everybody at the start of the game.

I've never played trials. I guess you're right though. Why not buy all these RNG cases and random shit in all these games. See how much money we can make Activision and EA.

Whether you like it or not, lootboxes and microtransactions are here to stay in gaming. I just don't see why it bothers you that other people buy it. Like if it was the old CoD style where they had P2W weapons in them, that's an issue. But who gives a fuck if somebody dropped their paycheck on cosmetics in Destiny?
