Just announced that the Packers' four compensatory picks this year are 2 4ths and 2 7ths. Seeing that, I would now be surprised if Ted didn't try to move up in the first. Seems to be the only plan that makes sense now that he's signed free agents and got some extra 4ths to play with.

At this point, any big name on the market that there's a perceivable hole at will be linked by one source or another. I doubt there was ever any real interest in Tebow, but they ended up linked to that. You're going to see the same with any quality FAs/guys on the trade block. The only one I've seen real talk about is Anthony Hargrove (the guy with the fake Twitter account).

J Stew would be sweet. Give Grant the boot.

I don't see any chance Grant is coming back. Stewart would be nice, since he runs a lot like Starks but with great vision. I just want a back that can be counted on to pass block.

@PackerReport: Tollefson's sack numbers were good; @ProFootballFocus however has numbers to show he's not a great pass rusher.

Maybe it'll be good if we don't sign him.

Either way, DE/DT's are there for run stuffing. There job isn't to sack the qb if you think about it.

A good DE gets sacks... And a good number of them.

Depends on whether you're in a 3-4 or 4-3.



Yeah, but I don't want a guy who can't be counted on to push back a Guard or Tackle and collapse the pocket every now and then. I think sacks are one of the most overrated stats ever, but if you're not getting pressure on the QB, I don't want to see you on the field.
