Plus it seems to always hit one position hard. This year it's OG and slot corner getting decimated. James Hurst went from roster bubble to starting LG -_-

karma for tipping off the colts

Why would we want a washed up BACKUP that's gonna do nothing but cause problems

Thad Lewis is not a better QB than Kaep... let's be real.

It's both exciting and sad to see Woodrum outplay Mallett so thoroughly. Exciting because it's nice to see your backups play well; sad because Harbaugh is going to opt for experience over talent for yet another year, same as he did when he cut Josh Johnson last year. (although Johnson did have some experience, come to think of it)

Officially re-signed Zuttah.

I really hope he plays guard instead of C. I'd like to see Jensen play at C.

I highly recommend Ken McKusick's writing. His postgame reviews are usually pretty spot-on. He sees everything I see and more.

tldr:

-OL struggled, as one would expect
-Defense dominated, as the score suggests. The only score from Miami can on an INT immediately after a punt, so the defense was probably tired.
-Correa looks like a distinct downgrade from Orr. He whiffed a tackle to start the game, and then he looked hesitant the rest of the game. He needs to gain confidence I guess... and like 10 lbs of muscle
-ILB Bam Bradley actually made some nice plays. I can't remember specifically, but I just remember him standing out on a few plays.
-Willie Henry looks like our best interior pass-rusher. He's disruptive, but probably only someone who would come in on passing downs.
-Jaylen Hill is legit. He looks like he could start at CB no problem. Perhaps the only knock against him is the level of competition.
-Judon is disruptive. He looks like a valuable piece of the edge rush going forward.
-Tim Williams looked like the speedy pass-rusher we drafted and not like the quiet guy who played last week.
-Z.Smith actually looks like he deserves a roster spot. He doesn't bend the edge, but he can get some push against his opponent, swim-moved a guy for a near safety, and made a good run stop early in the game.
-Idk who Payne is, but he had some splash plays with a forced fumble on ST, and then he had a great stop on defense at some point in the 2nd half. He was all over the field yesterday.
-It's interesting how they're using NT Ricard at FB. They must like him a lot, since they're trying to find a spot on the roster for him so that he doesn't get poached off the PS. Kind of hard to keep another NT, but if he can play FB, he's a lock.
-Buck Allen surprisingly was the best-looking RB last night. Probably just an aberration, but worth noting. West had a bad fumble.
-None of the receivers looked particularly impressive. Moore and Adeboyejo especially took a step back.
-Maxx Williams was the non-QB offensive player of the game. He looked like Gilmore trucking guys /w the ball.
-Woodrum outplayed Mallet at QB. His mobility is a big asset, and he was helped by some YAC from his receivers, but there is no way anyone can say he's worse than Mallett. He's more accurate, and he has mobility. Shame he's going to get cut for Mallett. The entire offense is better when he's out there.

The beat goes on for the Ravens who have 17 players not practicing this morning. New absences are OLB Tim Williams, WR Quincy Adeboyejo

The whole team's going to be out by the time the season starts.
