My biggest fear this offseason was that Ozzie would reach or give up too much for a receiver he liked, and instead he went all defense and I'm 100% ok with that. TBH I'm not nearly as concerned about our receivers as most Raven's fans seem to be. Pitta can handle possession stuff, Wallace is a pro bowl level big play guy, and Perriman is a wild card who's finally healthy. Best case scenario he becomes a legit #1, worst case scenario he's a #3/#4 who occasionally makes a ridiculous catch. I'm ok with that.
Throw in some relative unknowns in Maxx and Captain Steroid, and I think we'll be ok. The Raven's have never needed (nor had) elite receivers. As long as we field a good defense and at least a respectable run game (KNOCK ON WOOD), we'll be fine.
Right now I'm most worried about every offensive lineman lined up the the right of Joe Flacco.
Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if Ozzie would still select Humphrey over Davis, Williams, and Ross even in a scenario in which all available at our pick. It sounded like he coveted Hason Reddick more than anyone, and then Derek Barnett as a fallback option, but both were taken.
Also, I'd actually like to see them move on from Pitta. An unpopular opinion, but he gets no separation or yds after the catch anymore. All he does is run a 5-yd hook or flat, taking what the defense gives him, and gets tackled. Any TE can do that, so I'd rather watch a youngin like Maxx, Crockett, or Waller play (I think Boyle moves to FB to replace Juszczyk as an underused mismatch in the passing game).
I'm actually not too concerned about OL. Siragusa looked like a good player in his Draft Breakdown vids. I think he beats out whoever his competition is for the LG spot, just like Alex Lewis did last season (both were/are 4th round rookies, so we know our coaching staff has no qualms about starting rookies if they earn it). I think Jensen beats out Urschel for the starting C spot since Jensen is actually a mauler in the run game; however, he'll miss defenders when sending the blitz, but this offense should be more run-oriented if Greg Roman has any say in how it runs, and that favors Jensen over Urschel. Urschel gets no push in the run game and makes terrible snaps on occasion, but he's good in pass-pro.
