not a big fan of him. i like dobbins better, but wade will probably just use him as 3rd/4th and short situations

I think Bradie has a lot left to give. if anything he seems like he knows what he is doing with what wade wants and that has such a intangible (Cliche i know) but its true

You guys may have something in Foster.

He reminds me of Bernard Pierce, except he's a little slower, not as elusive, and can't run over defenders as well.

Arian Foster has not looked that great running the ball in the two pre-season games so far. Maybe going Vegan was a bad idea? He had a fumble against the Panthers and then got shut down by the 49ers for the most part (one good run is all he had). His 10 carries for 46 yards are kind of deceiving because he had that one nice run for 24 yards last night. Only 22 rushing yards on 9 carries otherwise.

But all it takes is a few big plays to get you back on track. The one big 24-yard run was encouraging at least. We need to get back to the Arian that dominated the two playoff games last year, and broke Eric Dickerson's NFL record for most combined rushing yards by a running back in his first two playoff games.

Hopefully he's back to "absolute beast form" when Houston plays the Dolphins on September 9. All that matters right now is Week 1.

You can't really compare a meaningless pre-season game to a game that matters, regular season and playoffs.

Anyone know which channel carries Texans games in Canada? TSN is showing 3 games from now until january. CTV doesn't have its schedule up. I can remember last year there was one more channel, but since then I've changed cable providers and I forget the name.

1:09 to 1:25 ... Double coverage, doesn't matter when everybody is healthy. Schaub to Andre a lot this season off the play-action pass.

I'm ready for the Saints game on Saturday Night on CBS. The starters on both teams will play into the 3rd quarter.

Texans lose nose tackle Sunny Harris for season

The Texans have lost second-year nose tackle Sunny Harris for the season with a torn triceps muscle suffered during practice Tuesday.

With Shaun Cody (lower back) also sidelined, 26-year-old rookie free agent Hebron Fangupo faces what could be a make-it-or-break-it game against the Saints Saturday night.

“He has a lot of potential,” defensive coordinator Wade Phillips said of the former BYU Cougar, “but he hasn’t really shown it yet.”

Coach Gary Kubiak said of Fangupo: “He’s going to get a chance this Saturday and (the following) Thursday night (against Minnesota). If he wants to make it in this league, there will be no excuse because he’ll get every rep he can possibly get. He’ll get to play a bunch, so we’ll see how he shows up. He’s going to play a bunch. What an opportunity he’s going to have under the circumstances.”

The Texans are now obviously in the market for another defensive linemen, but nothing will happen before Saturday night, Kubiak said.

“With how the CBA rules are now, even if we found somebody, with the acclimation period he couldn’t play for us this week anyway,” Kubiak said. “But with two games in five nights, it’s something (general manager) Rick (Smith) and I have to do.”

Kubiak called Harris’ injury “a sad situation. He was playing well, but he’s going to have to go on (injured reserve).”

The Texans will also look at rookie Jared Crick and veteran defensive end Tim Jamison at the nose.

“I was pleased with Crick this last week,” Phillips said. “He did a good job. He’s a good player. We’re happy to have him.”

Not a HUGE loss, but that's still unfortunate.
