The guy can still play and has the bigger size than Wells that McCarthy wanted. Plus it means they can draft a center late and spend a year or two developing him instead of being forced to take Konz in the first.

Yeah. Pretty excited that a center doesn't need to be taken first round. Although home grown Konz would have been sweet.

Would have been great to have a guy that can be relied on for years but at least now there's no reason to not focus on the front seven with the first pick.
