I guess the quotes he made about being on the team next year were more than just clickbait. He's overrated but I don't think to dismantle our secondary further is the answer. Depends on the compensation I suppose.

He’s been inconsistent on the field at times, but at least he’s been consistently healthy over the last 4 seasons. Something many members of our secondary can’t say

Very good point. It's hard to even call him a liability on the field when, at times, everyone in the secondary is. We'll see how this plays out over the next week. I assume they want Jones to touch the field more than a handful of times this season.

All of our safeties have some real issues with pass coverage, tackling and general positioning. It's hard to really favor one over any other because of how bad each has looked from time to time.

Completely agree. The tackling has been an issue for years, and it’s my biggest pet peeve
