Can't believe how much more help we still need to even be competitive this season. Looks to be a mirror image of last off season even though we have all these millions to spend.
Still don't have a good QB to make the throws when we need them the most. Our OT's are Austin Howard, Menelik Watson and Khalif (false start) Barnes..hmm, not too confident in that group. Hopefully Watson can stay healthy and do good along with Howard, but can either play LT good?
Lacking in the WR group that's for sure, everyone knows that. Re-signed Mcfadden, i HOPE he can be healthy all year and put up good numbers. I hope that new guy from the CFL Sheets can bring something to the table. Also Latavius Murray hopefully contributes!
Tuck, Woodley and Smith are OK free agent signings. They are all on the down side of their careers but bring veteran leadership and have been on multiple SB winning teams. Hopefully they play good, im praying! Along with Sio Moore and Nick Roach hopefully our front 7 can do better than last year! I forgot about Miles Burris and Kevin Burnett, maybe they can contribute if and when they are needed. Is Kaluka Maiava still on the team? Also got Stacy Mcgee for a little bit of depth.
Im really hoping DJ Hayden can have an injury free year and proves that he wasnt a waste of a high draft pick last year. hopefully he can be a solid starter for us because right now we need help with our DB's. Tyvon Branch will start of course. Should have re-signed Woodson IMO, we still can. Just signed Terell Brown which I assume will be starting week 1. We are lacking starters and depth with our DB's so we really need to fix that the most I think, IMO DB and OL are our biggest needs right now.
If you guys had to pick and say what is the strongest position of players we have right now what would it be? its a little hard to decide right now. LB?
Punter/Kicker. Then fullback.
Former 49ers CB Tarell Brown signs with Oakland, 1 year 3.5M. Should go a good distance towards improving our secondary.
After all the DT/DE signings our biggest hurt is currently WR/QB. Expect us to stay at the #5 draft spot and take a QB, if one of the big 3 is still there. If not, we might still be stupid and reach for Carr.
