I really... dont... understand our clock management

Welp, at least everyone else in our division lost.

-Terrible clock management on the final possession. This was a problem last week too. There's just no sense of urgency; Joe and everyone else just walk slowly up to the LOS.
-OL commits way too many penalties. Maybe this will be improved once the starters return. As it is now, the OL just kills way too many drives.
-Special teams commits too many penalties too. One punt set our offense up inside the 10 when it would have been at the 20; another penalty bailed the Giants out of starting at their own 8.
-Perriman still keeping his drop streak alive.
-Secondary went to complete shit after Jimmy went down. Webb is consistently late in providing help over the top, and his poor angle on Beckham was pathetic. Jerraud Powers is never near his man.
-Joe with a crazy number of overthrows to end the game, never even gave the receivers a chance. He really needs to fix his mechanics and step into his throws, but at this point you're probably not going to teach an old dog new tricks.

If there was ever a stat that illustrated the steep drop-off from Jimmy Smith to the next man up..



We really need to draft some DBs next year, both a starting outside corner across from Jimmy and a FS to replace Webb, who is overpaid and ineffective. Add it to the big list of needs lol.

I was a bit cold on Weddle at first, but it's night and day seeing the difference he makes. Way less blown coverages. He really is the QB of the secondary.

I totally misread what you typed. Thought you where down on weddle but yea Webb needs to go. We rely on our line way to much, and when they don't get to the qb you really see how bad our secondary is. I really wish Jimmy Smith wouldn't play good sometimes because then they would cut him for sure. But he shows potential so I have a feeling he won't be going anywhere.
