There is a direct correlation to total pressures given up and fumbles at the QB position though. My opinion isn't completely unfounded.
SD has the 32nd ranked pass-blocking line, and Rivers has 4 fumbles
NE has the 31st ranked pass-blocking line, and Brady leads the league with 5 fumbles.
