How’d they get bounced in the first round against a shell of a 49ers team if you have this mastermind DC, top 5 QB, best defense in the league? Weird to lose to a team with half it’s starters on IR

Heh bro the Eagles are gonna be broke as fuh. I haven't looked into it enough to know when, but the wall is coming.

Can only borrow against the future for so long.

They're fine with cap space for 2026 and 2027. Might start to get tricky in 2028, but who else can manage that better than Howie?

As always, tough decisions need to be made. They have drafted incredibly well and as a result guys are due to be paid, etc. Just like last year, especially defensively, they'll need to decide who they let walk and who can be replaced through the draft.

As long as they continue to draft well the cycle continues and they remain competitive. The key is rookie contracts to fill needs. As is with any long term success in the NFL.

Dean is a good example. Just had a great season but is injury prone and due to get paid. They have a rookie in Campbell who was great so the obvious decision is to let Dean walk and Campbell step in.

$100 says Eagles first round pick still turns out to be better than the Raiders first round pick (#1 overall)

Moore straight up opted to stay in college just to avoid playing for the Raiders. Wild stuff. I like Mendoza too but they gonna ruin him.

Okay, gotta let their careers play out so set a reminder in like 10 years. 😉

Raiders cant draft for shit though for real. If they do, they'll ruin em anyway.

Eagles last 5 first round draft picks 😘

2025: Jihaad Campbell (LB, Alabama) - No. 31
2024: Quinyon Mitchell (CB, Toledo) - No. 22
2023: Jalen Carter (DT, Georgia) - No. 9
2022: Jordan Davis (DT, Georgia) - No. 13
2021: DeVonta Smith (WR, Alabama) - No. 10

💪

Absolutely nailing it every. Single. Year. And I can do the same with 2nd and 3rd rounds too 🤣
