Watson tore his achilles the first play of the game

Baltimore is literally a TE graveyard. Every tight end to put on a uniform either gets season ending injuries, or suspensions.

Welp... at least we have 3 TEs left, even if they're all injury-prone.

Honestly more disappointed about this injury than the Watson injury, since Dixon was running with the 1's and looking damn-good doing it. They're calling it a sprain for now... hopefully it's not a bad sprain, though it looked bad.

And same situation as above... at least we have 3 RBs left.

I'm thinking at this point that they cut Willie Henry, Canady, and Reynolds of the rookies we drafted and sign them to the PS.

Some guys who really impressed me and who I'll be disappointed to lose if/when they're cut:

Jeremy Butler: very reliable, makes tough catches, durable. Maybe they keep him as a 7th WR now that a roster spot has opened up with the Watson injury. He would be the perfect successor to Aiken once he leaves as a UFA next year.
Josh Johnson: seems like a good backup QB, maybe they can trade him for a conditional 7th to someone.
Victor Ochi: coaching staff is trying to hide him from other teams by limiting his snaps, but he belongs on someone's 53-man roster... probably won't make ours and it's depressing. Showed some ability to rush the passer today and has done well in TC according to reports.
Michael Pierce: This guy could very well succeed Brandon Williams at NT, but if they don't keep him on the 53-man roster, he's going to be poached by some other team, guaranteed. He got some very good push in the pocket and blew-up run plays in all 3 preseason games so far.
Sheldon Price: Price at least seems to play the ball and be near his man, even if he's penalty-prone. Powers didn't do anything well. Price is going to be cut in favor of Powers because Powers has more experience despite being arguably the worst DB on the field in the first 2 games and injured in game 3.

My prediction for the 53-man roster

QB: Flacco, Mallett --I'm assuming they trade Josh Johnson for a conditional 7th based on playing time to some team before the season begins; he's too talented/experienced to be out of the NFL for good.

RB: Forsett, West, Buck Allen, Dixon, Juszczeck --I think they hang-on to Dixon, given that his injury is projected to carry a 4-6 week recovery time, meaning he could return as early as week 3, though week 5 is more realistic. Dixon looked really exciting before his knee injury; it wouldn't surprise me if he makes an immediate impact as a #2 RB when he returns. Forsett and Allen have been surprisingly lackluster in preseason. Juice should see more snaps with how shallow we are at TE. Taliaferro will remain on PUP all season unless we need a RB after week 6.

WR: SS89, Wallace, Perriman, Aiken, Butler, Campanaro, Moore --That's 7 receivers, one more than usual. The injury to Watson helps take the difficulty of this decision away; now we definitely have room for another WR. Keenan Reynolds should make our PS safely; he has looked too raw for any team to roster him.

TE: Gillmore, Pitta, Maxx Williams (Waller and Boyle suspended) --These are the only three TEs worth a roster spot. They could pick up a roster cut if they want to bolster this shaky position, or just ride with Daniel Brown until Waller comes off suspension. Supposedly all of them will be ready for week 1 health-wise.

OL: Stanley, Lewis, Zuttah, Yanda, Wagner, Urschel, Jensen, Ducasse --no surprises here. They could look to add another OT if someone is cut from another team.

DL: Brandon Williams, Michael Pierce, Carl Davis, Timmy Jernigan, Lawrence Guy, Brent Urban --I think they cut KLM and keep rookie UDFA Pierce, who has looked too good to make the PS, plus he's the only true NT besides B.Williams (Davis is more of a 3-tech imo). Willie Henry gets IR'd--a very diffident prediction and the hardest decision I made in this mock. If I keep Henry, I cut Terrance Brooks or Sheldon Price.

LB: Suggs, Doom, Z.Smith, Judon, Correa, McClellan, Mosley, Orr --I really wish there was room for Ochi, but he almost definitely gets cut.

CB: Jimmy, Wright, Powers, Young, Will Davis, Sheldon Price --The only dilemma here is deciding whether to keep Canady or Price. I think they IR Canady and keep Price. Powers is such a mystery: he has looked like the worst CB on our team in preseason, but the coaches love him for whatever reason. Wright has also looked shaky, but maybe he'll recapture his performance last season when games matter.

S: Webb, Weddle, Levine, Lewis, Brooks --Brooks is the weakest link in this group, and I think it's possible he's cut for someone else's cap casualty before the season begins. If they do keep Brooks, I think it's possible he is still cut mid-season if/when Elam heals up. Pees likes to keep a lot of safeties in recent history, so I don't think they go with any less than 5 safeties (if you call Levine a safety).

^^I later updated the above "what I think will happen" prediction to switch Willie Henry (in), and Campanaro (cut)

For a more fun "keep the players I like" roster prediction, I went with the following:

QB (2) : Flacco, Johnson (trade Mallett, hate his personality)

RB (4): Dixon, West, Forsett, Juszczyk (cut Allen)

WR (6): Smith, Perriman, Wallace, Butler, Aiken, Moore (cut Camp)

TE (3): Pitta, Gillmore, Williams

OL (8): Stanley, Lewis, Zuttah, Yanda, Wagner, Urschel, Jensen, Ducasse (cut Hurst, Wesley)

DL (6): B.Williams, Pierce, Henry, Jernigan, Urban, Guy (IR C.Davis)

LB (9): Suggs, Dumervil, Z.Smith, Judon, Correa, McClellan, Mosley, Orr, Ochi

CB (6): Jimmy, Wright, Young, Davis, Price, Canady (cut Powers)

S (5): Webb, Weddle, Levine, Elam, Brooks (cut K.Lewis, let Canady play more safety in practice)

Special (4): Koch, Tucker, Cox, (acquire a full-time P/K returner from somewhere)
