Not really. Wallace is washed, your TEs havent put up big numbers since the pitta days, we both know aiken is just filler for when the rest areinjured, and perriman hasnt even seen the field yet.
Not unrealistic for ss89 to top 1k again tbh
Wallace has actually been the best WR in training camp. Going to a team with a QB who can actually throw deep seems to be doing wonders; he and Flacco have apparently developed good chemistry. I get why the outside world thinks Wallace is trash after the past 3 seasons (I mean, I didn't want him here either when he was signed), but even the reports out of TC from unbiased reporters are glowing.
Aiken plays a similar position to Senior (possession receiver), and they're probably going to want to give him playing time to showcase him a bit because he's going to be a UFA and hopefully fetch a nice comp. pick. Plus he's just not a bad receiver, not that he's great or anything. He's in his prime while Senior is old and coming off injury, so he's going to steal targets.
Our offense will be TE-oriented, similar to the Gronk-nandez Patriots from a few years ago (though obviously not as talented). We're going to have 2 TEs (if not more) on the field for most of the plays, functioning as receivers for all intents and purposes. That's going to hurt Aiken and Senior the most, since TEs are mainly used as possession receivers/chain movers.
And then, if you remember Trestman in Chicago, you know that he uses RBs a lot in the passing game, which creates yet another mouth to feed in the short-yardage game.
So add all that up with the fact Senior is old and coming off an Achilles injury which may have sapped him of his explosiveness and you've got a recipe for a diminished season from Steve Smith.
