what do you guys spend glimmer on when you reach max? i've been buying mods from the dude on the white planet

Weapon mods from Gunsmith. That's how you'll get legendary Kinetic mods, which are the hardest to come by.

Buy those, once you're 280 you can buy legendary mods. If you break down legendary mods you get components, with 2 components you can trade them for a random weapon mod. You've got a 25% of getting a kinectic weapon mod. I've had bad luck lately though, last 10 I bought only had 1 in it.
