but in world where we have 3-4 good years of Rodgers left
i don't like trading down our highest 1st in a long time
and i don't like tunnel-visioning on CBs
also Oren Burks is a weird TT-esque reach

Trading down turned out to be a smart move imo. Alexander was likely who they wanted at 14. Got him at 18 w/ a 1st for next year

Jackson is definitely first round talent, so another good pick there.

Burks was ranked the 3rd most athletic linebacker in the class.. so hopefully we have someone who can cover slot receivers and tight ends half decent.

Crucial to have those Deion Jones, Myles Jack esque linebackers in today’s game

I like what we have so far. Added improvement to our secondary, added youth and team control, and added depth overall.
Burks should be an improvement over jake ryan and help improve our secondary as well...not sure how josh jones quite fits into all of this now though.
With 2 first round picks next year and potentially losing matthews, cobb, bulaga, hahadix, ect that gives some much needed insurance on being able to fill a couple inevitable voids. Could take 2 first round edge guys to replace clay, could use 2 firsts to trade way up and take the best edge in the class, could go edge and tackle...many different scenarios that can play out where the 2 firsts will be huge next year.

Just need some WR, TE, and Oline depth picks for the rest of the draft and the team should be good enough to win this year and set to improve even more next year.

Decent draft on the whole. Completely failed to bolster our anemic pass rush, but maybe there will be some cuts elsewhere worth us bringing in for depth. Think we should have moved up more than we did also. Secondary should be aces now though, and we added some very interesting WR depth. Will give it a solid B.

...But seriously though... we didn't have the money to sign him...

Love our draft. Wouldn't mind signing someone like Connor Darwin or bring Ahmad Brooks back, but I don't think it's a necessity. SB bound

coverage sacks are far more difficult than pressure sacks. i really hope petine has a scheme to free some rushers up.
