Just as a voice of reason here, the reports about Jack are probably emanating from teams who want Jack to fall, so they must be taken with a certain amount of skepticism. If the Ravens FO checks him medically, then I'd be cool with him--they would know better than any of us. Likewise, if they passed on him due to the knee, I'd be fine for the same reason. It'd basically be the same story surrounding the drafting of Jamal Lewis, another player who was taken off of teams' boards due to pessimism regarding his knee (although he turned out to have a pretty decent career anyway).

However, none of us fans know the status of his knee issue. Suggs can choose to believe the recent reports about his knee and be just as correct in his pessimism as anyone who dismisses the reports as mere smoke--you guys are all just as informed either way.

Fact is, if the reports are true that Jack has osteochondrial knee weakness (weakness of the ligament and/or separation of ligament from bone), then he could be looking at microfracture surgery in the future to increase bloodflow to the area (there are other options as well). It's certainly not the end of his career if he needs microfracture surgery (plenty of players have gone on to give fine careers despite it), but it's something you may not want to trouble yourself with later on should he need it. That's why the "ticking timebomb" metaphor has been so popular--Jack could end up needing surgery in the middle of the season if the rumors are true, or he could never need it at all.

So you yourself can choose to completely disregard the recent stories, but Suggs is not wrong for his personal concern about Jack's knee--there is risk involved with the pick if the rumors contain any merit.

I'm surprised Cheesehead of all people would completely dismiss the risk involved in knee issues, considering he revels in Clowney's knee problems as vindication of his baseless opinion before the draft that he would be a bust (jury is still out on that btw: he looked pretty good to end last season). Jack could end up having the same problems a few years from now if he needs microfracture surgery.

Nice essay and thanks for the Shoutout, but the injury factor is not the basis I used to call Clowney a Bust before he was picked. I appreciate your concern and glad you broke out the thesaurus for me, but revel is not exactly the correct word in this scenario either.

Hope school is going well, bud

Honestly, when you feel compelled to constantly remind everyone that you were right about Clowney being an injury bust, I don't know how you call it anything but reveling.

I think if Jags take Buckner is the safest move. Jack might be Clowny Jr. and Flower is looking like a Bust until he shows anything? As for Odick is mediocre at best at DT on the Jags.

I still have Jack at 5 though ><

Nice to see my biggest jock sniffer still up to his old habits. Notice not once in any of those threads did I mention that I predicted that or brag at all. But I guess that wouldn't really help your claim right? Repeating a statement is now reveling. Hm. Very odd. I guess you taking every shot you can at me, including personal ones, is reveling too now, right?

Ok, you were able to search through over 2 years of posts. Congrats, get over yourself.

It just seems like you bring it up every chance you get, which seems like off-handed gloating about being right. Seems like a petty thing to do when Clowney is dealing with misfortune.

But to each their own. Maybe I'm just misjudging you. I'll drop the subject.

It seems like we are either going to pick Tunsil, Ramsey, or Bosa (in some unknown order of preference, probably Ramsey > Tunsil > Bosa) or trade back and target Shaq Lawson or Floyd.
