Jack is a blue chip prospect tho lol. Him and Ramsey are the only blue chip prospects in this draft imo.

Don't even bring up Tunsil, because he plays in a spread offense that is simply killing LT prospects at the next level.

I have Tunsil, Ramsey, and Myles Jack as the only "blue chip" prospects in this draft.

However, Ronnie Stanley, Joey Bosa, Deforest Buckner, Ezekiel Elliott, and VHIII could all be pro bowl caliber players.

There's a whole shit load of plays who could be pro bowl caliber, but at the end of the day, a huge majority of that will depend on what team they play on. Using the pro bowl to base line anything is a joke these days.

Except Fowler plays our LEO position on the DL. Our LEO is based on bend ability and edge rush. They need speed and length (6'1 - 6'4, 240 - 260 range with speed and long arms). Our LEO position is not made for a guy who's 6'8 and 290 pounds. Buckner doesn't have speed or edge bend. He would play 5 tech in our scheme (which we signed Jared Odrick to play last FA).

edit: we also keep around 10 guys on our DL and will rotation all of them, if they're active on game day.

I just keep thinking jags lost there first round pick last year to a injury, now there drafting another injured first round pick...

nice info on jags.

MUST YOU PICK AT EVERYTHING I DO, HAKO?

Keep in mind every decision I make is heavily influenced by Gin.

Isn't your power over the Jags cap money enough to satisfy your Machiavellian self interest? :(

A friend in the bay area sent me this story today... it's along the same lines of the fabricated stories that we've been hearing lately, i.e. Jack's knee.

Believe what you will, but the results speak for themselves B)

Rodgers is cocky and arrogant tho, drinking a Grape Crush after beating the Vikings qualifies as such behavior IMO

Most of the time I nit pick at you guys, just to get you guys to reply back and sometimes I just like to do it for fun. This time it's a little bit of both, but also because I definitely have a different opinion on this Myles Jack subject.

Just as a voice of reason here, the reports about Jack are probably emanating from teams who want Jack to fall, so they must be taken with a certain amount of skepticism. If the Ravens FO checks him medically, then I'd be cool with him--they would know better than any of us. Likewise, if they passed on him due to the knee, I'd be fine for the same reason. It'd basically be the same story surrounding the drafting of Jamal Lewis, another player who was taken off of teams' boards due to pessimism regarding his knee (although he turned out to have a pretty decent career anyway).

However, none of us fans know the status of his knee issue. Suggs can choose to believe the recent reports about his knee and be just as correct in his pessimism as anyone who dismisses the reports as mere smoke--you guys are all just as informed either way.

Fact is, if the reports are true that Jack has osteochondrial knee weakness (weakness of the ligament and/or separation of ligament from bone), then he could be looking at microfracture surgery in the future to increase bloodflow to the area (there are other options as well). It's certainly not the end of his career if he needs microfracture surgery (plenty of players have gone on to give fine careers despite it), but it's something you may not want to trouble yourself with later on should he need it. That's why the "ticking timebomb" metaphor has been so popular--Jack could end up needing surgery in the middle of the season if the rumors are true, or he could never need it at all.

So you yourself can choose to completely disregard the recent stories, but Suggs is not wrong for his personal concern about Jack's knee--there is risk involved with the pick if the rumors contain any merit.

I'm surprised Cheesehead of all people would completely dismiss the risk involved in knee issues, considering he revels in Clowney's knee problems as vindication of his baseless opinion before the draft that he would be a bust (jury is still out on that btw: he looked pretty good to end last season). Jack could end up having the same problems a few years from now if he needs microfracture surgery.
