My wife just was after 21 years at her job. They gave her 30k in severance paid over 30 weeks , paid her for 6 weeks of vacation upfront $9,000 , and gave her 3 months of paid job training with a job coach. She got a job 3 weeks later, making 10k more a year to start with less responsibility as a junior buyer instead of a senior buyer. Just look at it as an opportunity man and roll with it. Hopefully you got a severance package because that made it easier for my wife to feel like she could take the time she needed, but a good company snagged her up as soon as she put out her resume.
i get the strange feeling it's coming. lot of little bullshit strange stuff happening, and this place is ANYTHING but transparent.
