So how's this work? Didn't Jordy still have a year left on his contract? They can release him and then re sign him for less? So... A contract means nothing then.

I just don't like how they could terminate his contract and then re sign him for less. If a team wants to get rid of a player then they should actually have to get rid of the player.

I don't disagree but for the players to get that, they'd have to strike and give up a lot in the negotiations. Good luck with that as the guy making vet minimum isn't likely to care about whether the 100m contract a QB gets is guaranteed or not.

I am curious to see what would happen to guarantee %s if they dropped the escrow rule though.
