Honestly, if Pees just learns to coach his CBs to stop conceding first down yardage on 3rd and whatever, he will improve quite a bit in my eyes. I think toward the end of the season he started doing that less, coaching his CBs to play way past the sticks that is. He still designs some decent blitzes, isn't afraid to call a blitz, and his defenses are usually good vs the run.

However, he will probably never be anything more than an average DC.

//I mean, I guess we have to hope the changes he made regarding his scheme at the end of last season are permanent. He only changed them once we hit 24th overall in defense at the BYE.

Pee's better learn to play something other than off coverage. Holy fuck I'm sick of that, especially when you have two corners with pretty good ball skills.

I want Ramsey at this point. Wouldn't be upset if we picked up a blue chip pass rusher either, but Suggs will be back, I think DB is a bigger concern.

Aiken has shown that he can be a #2, and at this point Perriman and SSS are wildcard #1's. Could be good, could be bad.

I know we all want the Steelers to lose, but that loss was so humiliating for Cincy that I'm OK with it. Plus I want KC to play NE anyway, since KC may be the best team in the AFC right now even if Maclin is injured.

Plus it's not like Pitt has anything to brag about. That game was handed to them. No courageous drive by Roethlisberger or anything.

Not to mention Ben hurt his throwing shoulder and Antonio Brown is probably riding the short bus from now on.

I think the health of Houston and Hali is going to be HUGE in the KC/NE game. Justin Houston clearly was hurt vs. Texans, and I think Hali played only one snap the entire game.

You just don't have a chance against Brady in the postseason unless you have a pass rush, and Houston and Tamba are literally it for the Chiefs pass rush wise. They have nobody outside those guys.

Dee Ford is actually having a decent season after looking like a bust his rookie year, but it's true Hali and Houston's health will be crucial.

So after reading some scouting reports, I actually think I'm leaning toward VH3 over Ramsey. I mean don't get me wrong, I would be thrilled with either, but Hargreaves sounds like the more high effort player and I think that's the most underrated trait a football player can have.

Can't go wrong with either one imo.

I got a feeling Ogbah destroys the combine and puts himself right into our range--that's my waaaay too early guess on who we select lol. It seems like Steve, Oz, and Harbs all really want some pass rush

I love Jalen Ramsey and Vernon Hargreaves, really want us to draft either one of those, or Bosa or Tunsil if they somehow falls to us.

Also, why aren't Mackensie Alexander receiving any buzz as a top 10 pick right now? Been very impressed with the tape i've seen.

He is getting a lot of buzz as a top 10-15 pick. He's a little undersized, but literally, nobody throws it at him. I don't think he has a single INT. Nobody really knows how well he can track the ball, or what his ball skills are like. Will he be able to hold up against the bigger WRs in the NFL?

He's a hard one to really get any type of gauge on. The Combine and Pro Days will be big for him.

edit: plus, it looked like he might have shredded his hamstring in that championship game.
