The FO has been vocal that they are displeased with Monroe's injuries and sound poised to cut him. I want Tunsil because we don't have a proven every-week LT. Out LT position has been in-flux since Ogden retired, which was like a decade ago.

I think Jimmy will bounce back. You look at how previous players come back from lis-franc injuries and the first year is not great.

I would love to draft a DB/edge/wr, but it's hard to find franchise LTs. That's why I want Tunsil. It's all a moot point, however, because SD will take him first.

/Monroe has only played in 3 complete games this season--how can you be okay with that? This is in addition to missing or leaving early in 5 (?) games last season.

I would believe Jimmy would bounce back more if his mistakes had been physical, but like his first year in the league most of the time it's him having a breakdown in who he's covering. I think his foot is fine.

You're right about Monroe, but I think the odds of him staying healthy are as good as him continuing to be hurt. IDK, with Joe as QB I just don't value a LT as much. Flacco is mobile (enough) and NEVER gets hurt. His ACL this year was a fluke; not to mention the first injury of his career.

I think our need at DB and wideout is too big to ignore. IDK if there's an Amari Cooper level talent this year, but with a top 5ish pick I would want us to take the best DB or best wideout available.

I wouldn't stray from best-player-available if those two positions aren't worth it, though. Oh well, in Ozzie I Trust.

There are no Amari Coopers in this draft. There is a lot of conjecture over who is the best WR, and really none of them are worth a top-16 pick imo.

I mean, I like CB Vernon Hargreaves the most of any prospect, but a franchise LT would be more appealing based on need

What's the deal with Hargreaves? Is he a generational talent? I've heard a lot of hype but I don't know if he's worth it. Assuming we could even be in play for him that is.

Man, I really REALLY wanted Marcus Peters, and his play this year has only made me want him more. :(

C'est la vie.

Hargreaves reminds me of Brent Grimes: small, but sticks to his man. He breaks on the ball really well when playing off, which would be great if Pees is here next year, since he loves off-coverage

/Actually, he's not even small, he's 5'11", but he's not muscular

Ugghh, I really hope Pee's doesn't make it. I'm so sick of our DB's playing ten yards off on third and short I could light myself on fire.

Wouldn't mind having Grimes 2.0. IDK, I'll have to get more informed once the playoffs start.

Really, the only knock on Hargreaves, is that he's soft. We really wont know how true that is until he gets into the Pros, but hes not that big of CB. He'll need to be pretty aggressive, due to his size, or he will get bullied by some of the bigger WRs in the NFL. And well, if that's the case... he's not gonna have a good time.

If I was an oddsmaker, I'd say there is a 75% chance Pees is gone. Somebody big but who isn't Harbaugh needs to be the scapegoat for this season, and his defenses have blown a lot of leads since he's been here.

But he's far from the worst DC in the league, and Harbaugh is stubborn when it comes to moving on from bad coordinators/assistants.

I guess you could call him soft. I just think he's lightweight.

But you need different CBs for different WRs. Put Jimmy on the AJ Greens and VH3 on the Antonio Browns.

Pees has been the week link on this team for a while, and I think this year it's really shown up. The amount of games we've lost late in the 4th is all on the defense, and it's not because of a lack of talent. With the right coordinator/scheme we have the talent to be a top 10, maybe a top 5 overall D. When you have that kind of talent and are failing it's a coaching problem.

My dream scenario is Pagano gets fired by the Colts and comes back to B-More and makes this D legit.

Whatever leads to Pees getting fired is fine by me, though.

Chuck Pagano would make me hard (the Pagano brother from the Chargers will probably be looking for a job too lol)

Steve needs to just lay his Gucci stacks on the table and give him HC money to be our DC.

/although if I was a gambling man, I would bet on Teryl Austin being our DC, which would not upset me either
