Well there's positives and negatives in both. I can completely understand the thinking of being up high in the booth while calling plays, so you can completely see the entire field as it happens, as well as using the still images on the tablets etc.

But I do agree about the Coordinators being down on the field. They can get face to face with any said player damn near instantly and make the adjustments right there and then. None of this calling down on the phone bull shit.

He was also good as a DC IN Buffalo and New York.

I'm sure you can be as or more effective up in the booth but it seems so much less personal and it looks like there's more of a disconnect there to the vibes & subtleties of the game. I personally as a fan want to see my DC on the field but if he's successful who cares where he is I suppose.

I'm with you in wanting my Coordinators down on the field during the game. Instant interaction with the HC and players, face to face, as well as the emotions and energy that's constantly being swirled around on the sidelines during games.

But yea like you said, at the end of the day, all that matters is if you're successful or not. Clearly that hasn't been the case here.
