I actually like Trestman. He is a creative playcaller, namely when it comes to designing plays to get WRs open.

He neglects the run game, but I would rather have an OC who is good at passing and weak /w the run than the other way around, given the way the rules are in today's NFL.

The problem is we don't have the personnel to succeed with a pass-heavy offense. Trestman needs 2 good WRs, and right now we don't even have 1.

You know what's really ironic? My life will be cut short by multiple decades because of the Baltimore Ravens, when it should be cut short far sooner because of family history, chronic illness, and the fact that I have one liver.

Maryland will be a perennially-ranked team soon enough. Kevin Plank, the owner of Under Armour and UMD alum, is doing everything in his power to make the Terps relevant again, starting with a new multi-million dollar training facility. Plank, coupled with the B1G money we're getting, will put us back on top in both basketball and football.

Supposedly, Bill O'Brien is showing a lot of interest in coaching UMD. I'm not 100% sure I want him because he sounds like an asshole, but he may be good in college, kind of like Jim Harbaugh, since student athletes have no power and leave after 5 years anyway (so they don't stay long enough to hate him). Regardless, BOB would be a big name for recruiting, plus he is familiar with recruiting in the local region, coming from PSU. We currently have a recruiting class ranked in the 30s iirc--getting a few more borderline commits could push that into the teens. So much talent in the DMV area, just gotta get them to stay local.

Yeah, once you guys can say you recruited Brian Hoyer everything should start clicking for UMD.

BOB recruited Hackenberg, and he's probably going to be a low 1st/early 2nd round pick in 2016.

QB isn't really the issue though, since Dwayne Haskins (4 star recruit) is committed to UMD regardless of who coaches for some reason.

The real challenge will be getting back guys like Trayvon Diggs (Stefon Diggs' younger brother). A lot of our possible recruits are tied to OC and interim head coach Mike Locksley, but he's not 100% coming back--it'll depend on who is HC.
