I agree which to me shows regression. He used to separate. He still has a place on the team because his chemistry with Rodgers is unmatched but not for 10 million

One could argue that he has, the fact remains that his value is completely dependent on Rodgers being the one to deliver the ball to him. His hot start to the season prior to Aaron going down is something to keep in mind considering our inefficiencies in the red zone. If allowed to test the market, he will draw money that we won't match. That being said, my hope is that Clay is cut first if we're eliminating long-time Packers from the roster.

how would you guys feel a bout drafting QB in the 2nd round? not a need by any means, but we could have a QB slip situation like with Rodgers this year. there's like 6 quarterbacks that could conceivably be 1st round talents this year with rosen, rudolph, jackson, darnold, allen, and mayfield all getting 1st round marks from some scouts. haven't been paying much attention to QBs cos it's not a need, but with so many available, a legit QB could slip to 2nd or 3rd. are rookie deals 4 or 5 years? Arod could be done by then if he's not on the Brady/Favre timeline.

A decent backup option to learn under Rodgers would be nice, Hundley isn't good and doubt Callahan is much better.

4 years, but for first rounders teams can decide between their third and fourth season to add a 5th year.

And unless somebody really drops, I wouldn't like it. That's really just an investment into future returns, most likely being more draft picks. As we've seen this year, this team is done if Rodgers misses serious time. I'd like a new DC and as many pieces as necessary to fit his scheme.
