Sucks so bad this game is ruined so so hard by bots. I almost start to play again then I look at what people have and realize it's pointless. Would be such a fun game legit too. Imagine being psyched about doing some meph runs and finding a shako or war travs right now.

Sigh, the potential. Especially with all the runewords of today. Having to really strive to get that enigma and having the advantage of being one of the few with it, or CTA.

i don't think you've ever actually manually MF'ed either of those items. if you had, you'd realize that it would take days of doing it by hand to get a random quality of one of those. without bots, the game would have died years ago and all those beloved and insane pvp chars would never have existed.

you clearly didn't start playing until after the game was long destroyed and after the 1.10 reset that began the end of Diablo. I do understand why people who never experienced even a slight portion of the real game itself would feel that way, but in all reality the game didn't not die because of bots and dupes, it is almost dead BECAUSE of the bots and dupes.

If you have never mf'd a shako or wtravs manually (I've found probably 10 shakos and 3 to 5 travs manually) and think most players havent, you would think the way you do. I assure you it is the opposite of what you guys say. The real players (not plates..edit) abandoned the game.

I started playing a month after the expansion pack came out and didn't even know how to bot until years after I joined jsp. Nice theory though. The players moved on because it isn't 2008 anymore and many more consoles and games have been released over the 15 years since classic D2. without the bots and item sites that "ruined" the game, as you put it, most of us would have already moved on to any of the other amazing games out there today. Seriously though. Have you seen what modern gaming is today? Play an hour of GTA: V with basic mods on ultra and get back to me about how the players abandoned D2
