Resign:
Cam Newton - I don't see any other options unless they make a trade. I imagine he would get like a 2 year $15M deal.
James White - No brainer, he won't be that expensive, I could 2 years $8M.
Lawrence Guy - Better off paying Guy than Butler, give him a 2 year $15M deal.
Jason McCourty - As long as Devin is here they probably give him a 1 year $4M deal.
Deatrich Wise Jr. - Still have hope for him, 3 years $25M range I would guess.

Walk:
Rex Burkhead - You have enough depth at running back.
Damiere Byrd - No sense in bringing him back, you need upgrades.
Adam Butler - I like him but someone is going to through him too much money I bet because he's still youngish.

Free Agent Targets:
Kyle Van Noy - Can easily see a reunion.
Adam Humphries - They wanted to pay a lot for him before, so they can get him a lot cheaper now.
Trey Hendrickson - Great at getting to the QB, and plays snaps on special teams, Bill will love him.
Matt Milano - Not going to be super expensive and Bill could get a lot out of him, played safety in his first season in college so he is versatile.
Curtis Samuel - Line him up anywhere on offense.
Hunter Henry - Desperate for a tight end.
Bud Dupree - Super versatile and smart player, but he's going to command top dollar. He feels like a Belichick type guy but I don't know that we'd pay him.
Desmond King - Another guy who can move around and play special teams too.

Cam Newton did nothing wrong. The way last season went is not his fault. I just don't understand what BB's plan here is. Does he think he's going to scrape out a 10-6 record and a first round playoff exit? Is that the the goal? I find it hard to imagine that there weren't more appealing options out there.

BB is 48 wins behind Shula's record. That's gonna take somewhere between 5 seasons (if the team is good) and 12 seasons (if the team is bad). Perhaps he has a handshake deal with the Krafts that they will let him hang around until he gets it. Then it would make sense to try and get as many wins as he can each year (hopefully at least 8) so he can beeline retirement and the team can rebuild after he's gone.
