I don't think Bennett is the kinda guy who would just give up when dealing with adversity. I think he was contemplating retirement regardless of the Rodgers injury.

Unlike 95% of NFL players, Marty actually had plans after football. I think he's likely just wanting to focus on them now.

So Marty called out the team doc saying that he tried to force Marty to play hurt. Ignoring that he's suddenly okay with playing in NE but had an issue here after Aaron got hurt, so far - Rodgers, Jordy, James Jones, Kuhn, and LeRoy Butler have posted statements saying the guy is overly conservative with injuries.

I don't blame Marty for not wanting to stay here in a lost season but don't call out an innocent guy when you leave.

The truth is somewhere in the middle of course, but it stands out to me that guys like Jordy and Kuhn who don't usually speak up immediately defended the doc publicly.

Honestly (prob going get shit from GB fans for saying this but here I go), if there's one side to blame, it;'s Green Bay for actually signing him this past offseason in the first place to a fairly significant contract, if they looked at his injury history/log with the patriots, they would know he was hurt on and off the whole year ON TOP OF THAT coming off a Super Bowl win in which he gave a post game interview where he said something like (paraphrasing) "I;m a free agent this offseason, and super bowl winners get payed/overpayed!", if i'm a General Manager, that's the last person I give a big contract to LOL.
