Any details on the Hill extension?

Havn't seen any numbers other than it's a two year extension.

Now that Hill is extended, next year actually doesn't look that bad in terms of cap casualties and pending FAs.

Notable FAs:
Tucker (100% resigned or franchised)
Yanda (probably resigned)
KO (probably walks)
Upshaw (not sure)

Possible cap moves:
Joe (100% restructured)
Webb - 3.5m saved (probably cut if he continues to be injured)
Smith Sr. - 3m (retired)
Canty - 2m (easy cut)
Pitta - 600k (who knows)
Guy - 1m
Levine - 1m

-and we have a projected 14m in cap space before any of these moves, and the cap usually goes up anyway. We could actually probably afford to keep Joe on his current contract if restructure talks fall through lol.

A nice luxury, but isn't his cap hit like insane next year (~26 mill or something ridiculous)? Not even Joe Flacco thinks thats a possibility.

I'm gonna' be sad to see K.O. walk. He's one of my favorite players, and having Iowa on the left and right is gangster. B)

I think Upshaw is the wildcard. Depending on his pass rush productivity this season his salary could swing wildly in either direction. TBH, I wouldn't be all that upset if he just stayed an edge setter, and became a quality run player that we don't have to pay much for.

On the other hand, you can never have too many pass rushers.

What are you guys' expectations for Triple S? Honestly, I would be impressed if he cracked 1,000 yards. I could see him falling off and not being anywhere near that, unfortunately.

However, if I've learned nothing in life, I'd like to think I'm smart enough to not bet against Steve Smith when he's an underdog, so there's that....

KO has been injured his whole career though. He may not have missed a whole lot of games, but he doesn't seem like someone who will have a long healthy career. He would be a good compensatory pick candidate. Let some team overpay him.

Upshaw kind of depends on two things. One is his own performance. A Jarret Johnson edge setter isn't going to cost all that much, but if he shows some pass rush skills then he could price himself out. However, Upshaw has always been one of the least-efficient pass rushers since he came into the league (pass rush productivity is a stat that looks at snaps per pressure. it's not a volume stat so it's actually useful), so I'd be surprised if he suddenly starts generating sacks.

The other factor with Upshaw is how confident they are in Zadarius Smith as his replacement. Zadarius is supposedly a better pass rusher, but he was getting pushed back in the PHI game.

I couldn't believe SS89 cracked 1k last year. Vegas had his o/u at 1k and it seemed like a slam-dunk for the under lol. I'd still bet on the under just because of possible injury and age.

I'm hoping Camp becomes the next little chain-mover like SSS, but he needs to start doing yoga or something to keep his hammies loose. He's pretty damn athletic though when healthy.

Yeah, I would also bet the under. He's incredibly old for a wideout, and he was obviously fighting an uphill battle when he was 27, let alone 37 (awww, he's so tiny...).

He'll either go out with a wheeze or a DB slaughterfest. Either way he's my favorite WR ever.

And I hate to burst your bubble, but nobody goes from being a glass receiver to suddenly reliable for the rest of their career. We'd all love Bo Jackson to not have paper mache knees, but that's not the world we live in.

Welp, even if Camp is chronically injured, if he can play well when healthy, then I'd keep him just for those handful of games per year where he's active. It'd be like Amendola /w the Rams, who was worth a roster spot just because he was good when healthy.

Can't wait for this game to start. Really want to see Waller continue to emerge vs Wash's crappy secondary. And Carl Davis should have a field day /w Wash's shitty O-line.

Also I can't help but think Aiken is supremely overrated with how little we've seen from him this year and last. Idk, maybe I'm just reading too much homering on the ravens forumz.

Probably. 1,000 miles west of you nobody even knows who Kamar Aiken is, and I can assure you he looks good through untainted glasses.

I've always been impressed with him.
