Patriots acquire LB Barkevious Mingo in a trade with Cleveland

The New England Patriots announced today that they have acquired LB Barkevious Mingo in a trade with the Cleveland Browns in exchange for an undisclosed draft choice.
Mingo, 25, was originally drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the first round (6th overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft out of LSU. The 6-foot-4, 240 pounder, has played in 46 career games with 16 starts over three seasons and accrued 97 tackles, seven sacks, one interception, 11 passes defensed and one fumble recovery. Last year, he played in all 16 games with two starts and posted 18 tackles, one interception and four passes defensed.
