Easy. We've all seen what Henne can do. He isn't good. There's a reason why Gabbert beat him out during training camp. There's still time for Gabbert. He needs the rest of this year and 1 more year in my opinion. He has definitely improved from last season, all while learning a new Offense all over again. There's no reasons why he can't, and shouldn't improve in year 3. If he doesn't continue to show improvements, then you try and look else where.

Yikes, Gabbert's out for the season right?

He has to have surgery on his torn labrum. Whether it was 4 weeks ago, or when the season was over. Now it should just insure that he should be 100% ready to go when Training camp rolls around next season, unlike he would be if he waited till the end of the season.

Quote
The move to place Gabbert on injured reserved came a day after he visited orthopedic specialist James Andrews in Birmingham, Ala. That examination revealed the forearm situation more serious than originally thought – and because it was determined his recovery time would be extended.

Gabbert had played through an injury to his non-throwing (left) shoulder since an October 28 loss at Green Bay. Gabbert said he will undergo surgery on the left shoulder Monday, but that he hopes to avoid surgery on the forearm issue.

“That’s still up in the air,” Gabbert said of surgery on the forearm, adding that he has been told the injury does not involve nerves.

Further more, lets give Jordan Palmer a shot. Henne blows, I guess we'll see what he does vs the Titans, but 9 of 20 passes for 71 yards and no touchdowns against the Raiders. 45 completion % against the fuckin Raiders... and 16 of 33 passes for 354 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions Sunday. If the Receivers don't have over 200 YAC then those numbers are pretty bad. 48.5 completion %, are you kidding me?

Mularkey is trying to eek out a few wins to try and save his and Gene Smith's job. If they get a few meaningless wins and we miss out on a top talent like Jarvis Jones or Star I'm going to be fucking pissed.

But the Jaguars lost 27-7 against the Texans at Jacksonville earlier in the year. The next time you see Houston, Brian Cushing will be back. We lost our best linebacker in that Jets game and our defense hasn't been consistent since. They played good against the Ravens, Bears and Bills but poorly against the Packers and Jaguars. It's 50-50 to how they play against the Lions. It wouldn't shock me one way or another.

We've been without our best Defensive player and LB all year. We've been without the best blocking FB in the league for 3-4 games. We've been without our starting FS for 5 games. We've been without our 2nd best CB for 4 games. We've been without MJD for 4 games. Don't act like we haven't been banged up all year long.

edit: I could also add in that we've been without our 3rd best LB all year also. Session hasn't played a snap either
