If i'm not mistaken, I believe Mangina knows someone who knew John or is a friend of a friend or family member or something. He knew about his passing first and relayed it to most of us.

Yeah man it was powerful, he was tearing up, I was tearing up. Crazy how life can be sometimes, I'm lucky to have this connection with him and I hope to see him occassionally in the future.
