just extend the auction an hour after the last bid, then there's no sniping and I can innocently probe the secret max bid w/o issue

That's very understandable but max bids were allowed, which does make the top bid an invisible one. I tried to explain this earlier

Nah, if someone really wants the team they can leave a very high offer before they go and/or have someone bid for them.

Just make people pick designated bidders, the invisible bidding will just cause rage among people who haven't used ***.

Adding these 2 rules to the next auction(9min):

You can not PM me your maximum bid due to being offline, no invisible bids.
You CAN have someone bid for you, but I must know who you are bidding for, you can either PM me or post in the thread. If you don't want someone to do that, leave a very high offer that you don't think will be topped while you're gone.

See it makes more sense to give a max bid to the person bidding for you so at the same time you dont have to use that max bid if you have someone bidding for you, and its much more reasonably fair

That's why he put these rules into motion
