Blaine would have learned so much from Garrard. I thought for sure after the Raven win he would get some confidence and start letting the ball go, but he got those happy feet like he had at Mizzou... I secretly have been watching all the games this year.

yeah idk if hes just afraid of being hit or thinks our WRs are going to get open if he buys some time which is dumb because our WRs will NEVER be open

The notion that he's afraid of being hit is just a stupid joke. Since Gruden started talking about it on that first MNF game vs the Ravens, it's been the common misconception about Blaine.

He took some unneeded sacks out there, because he was simply trying to do too much at times. That just comes with being a Rookie.

He wouldn't of learned so much from Garrard, but it would have help him for sure. Garrard isn't that good of a QB lol.

The happy feet have slowly faded over time. Blaine had instant improvement as soon as Tucker took over the HC job from JDR. He instantly fired the WR coach and moved the QB coach back to WRs. That's where he specializes. He then moved our OC to QB coach as well, which he should of been the whole time. I seen him improve almost instantly after the switch.

Blaine was a streaky QB this season for sure. He'd have streaks where he's dead on. Hitting all the passes perfect. He'd lead the team down the field with ease. But it seems like as soon as a Receiver would drop a pass, or he the OL would break down and he'd get sacked. It almost looks like he instantly loses Confidence in them after that. He then tries to rush stuff and that rarely works.

Now I can't say that he's truly losing Confidence out there, because I don't know. I'm not out on the field with him and i'm not talking to him.

I've watched every game. He isn't scared out there. He's just not dumb. No QB wants to get hit and neither does he. But to say he's afraid out there is just wrong. He rushes throws from time to time to evade some contact when he doesn't need to, which results in bad throws. He doesn't do it very much though. Happens most of the time on Screen plays.

He stepped up into the pocket a lot more in the last quarter of the season. Instead of getting happy feet and instantly bouncing outside. He started stepping into the pocket much better. Confidence in the Offense as a whole will help his pocket presence as well. A full off season to work with his receivers. Lewis already said him and Blaine plan on watching game film all off season together. He said they plan on working together all off season to completely get on the same page. Blaine will get all the work at #1. A full off season to learn the playbook and much more with hopefully some good coaching.

Whimper is a back up. He can come in for a game or two if needed, but he isn't a starter as we've witnessed. I don't see him being cut as of now. Gene has been stocking up guys for next season. All those guys on IR. I really think he was using it to his advantage. Knowing there was no playoffs, he can keep guys on the roster for next season by IRing them. Not saying they weren't injured, but I dont think all of those guys on IR had season enders.

Kampman should get a chance next season in training camps and all that, just like Whimper should. If they can't beat out other guys when cuts are happening, then so be it.

He had it like a month ago or so. It was just to clean some stuff up. His career may be about done, but we can't just cut him now without finding out first. They gotta give him a shot in camps next season to see how he looks.
