ahh so pumped for september 5th

At least you know the date and time for your first game. When is the NFL going to announce every team's schedule? I hear some time in April but when exactly? I'm going crazy trying to figure out if the Texans are going to play that Thanksgiving day game against the Lions. It would be great to see the Cowboys and Texans both playing on Thanksgiving. That would give me three games to watch during the Holidays. The night game on NFL Network also.

So, from the mocks I'm seeing, it looks like we're still pretty high on mark barron in the first...

I also just read that he has had rib cartilage injury, a pec tear, and most recently, a double hernia. I know those aren't chronic injuries, but how concerned do you think the organization should be with his high frequency of injury?

the real question is do you -

address the obvious need at safety with a national champion?
address the need on the defensive front with a guy like Poe who has very little college tape/didn't perform in college/is a workout freak (high risk, possible high reward)
yet again address the need at cornerback. we all know how abysmal mike jenkins has played

I like barron, can't be any worse than the safeties we employed in 2011. though I do like Elam...hmmm

2012 REGULAR SEASON SCHEDULE
WK DATE OPPONENT TIME (ET) RESOURCES
1 Wed, Sep 5 think we pull an upset and win here.
@
New York
8:30 PM NBC Tickets
2 Sun, Sep 16 if we win in week won it should be no problem to carry us to week two and take on the upstart seahawks and marshawn lynch and hopefully a disadvantaged Matt Flynn
@
Seattle
4:05 PM Tickets
3 Sun, Sep 23 Tampa is starting the season on an 8 or 9 game losing streak. if we win the previous two, or even come into this game 1-1 I like our chances.
vs
Tampa Bay
1:00 PM Tickets
4 Mon, Oct 1
vs
Chicago an interesting game, this could be the hot cutler making backfoot throws and forte carving people up... or it could be the bears OL that gets decimated and gets cutler killed. I can see a win just as easily a loss
8:30 PM Tickets
5 BYE WEEK
6 Sun, Oct 14 depends on how the ravens are playing this year. is ray lewis still burning in what, his 15th year? what about ed reed? if those guys aren't playing hot, not sure how the ravens fare. I like our chances coming out of the bye against a strong team
@
Baltimore
1:00 PM Tickets
7 Sun, Oct 21 the cam newton show. will he be sophomore slumping or will he be the 14-15 rushing TD machine we saw in 2011? in week 7 I'm hoping for the former.
@
Carolina
1:00 PM Tickets
8 Sun, Oct 28
vs
New York  Ah yes we meet again. if we didn't win in week one i can't see us losing here. if we lose here having lost in week one, they will have beat us 6 or more times in a row. not sure how i could live with myself after that. if we won in week one, i expect parity and can cope with a loss. but then again, it would be sweet as hell to sweep them
4:15 PM Tickets
9 Sun, Nov 4 which atl team do we see? the high powered offensive unit or the team that scored 2 points in their most recent playoff game? I expect our guys to be still recovering from last week with the giants regardless of the win column. not too favorable but it is very much a winnable game for the boys
@
Atlanta
8:20 PM NBC Tickets
10 Sun, Nov 11 ah philly. one of the wildcards in the season. they could be 10-0 at this point. or they could be 3-7 and andy reid will be fired with juan castillo at HC. not looking forward to this game at this moment. it's tough to gameplan for the eagles.
@
Philadelphia
4:15 PM Tickets
11 Sun, Nov 18
vs
Cleveland  I will probably look to go to this game. Cowboys should thrash the most snakebitten franchise of all time.  should put on a good show for me hehe
1:00 PM Tickets
12 Thu, Nov 22
vs
Washington  RGIII or andrew luck? we will be playing a rookie QB if they are healthy and who knows..... what that means
4:15 PM FOX Tickets
13 Sun, Dec 2
vs
Philadelphia hoping we redeem ourselves at home against philly. fuking hate this team.
8:20 PM NBC Tickets
14 Sun, Dec 9
@
Cincinnati respectable team. i'd give myself a win against the bengals just as soon as i would give myself a win against the steelers, which i won't. it's a toss up game. depends on who shows up I guess.
1:00 PM Tickets
15 Sun, Dec 16
vs
Pittsburgh old friends meet again. great rivalry and i will definitely be looking to go to this game.
4:15 PM Tickets
16 Sun, Dec 23
vs
New Orleans another great game with a rivalry thats been heating up the past few years, the roy williams game thanksgiving game, the perfect season ender in 09... should be a good one as usual
1:00 PM Tickets
17 Sun, Dec 30 hopefully we have the division locked up by this point and we will be resting our starters.

Hmm, I think we go 3-3 in the division. Beat Seattle, Tampa, Chicago, Carolina, Atlanta, Cleveland, and possibly New Orleans. I think I can live with 10-6, but would LOVE to win 12.

9-7 at worst with the team we're fielding currently...can't wait to see who we get on draft day.
