Bruh, you lost your two oldest players, we literally lost our best players... No other teams had their BEST players opt out lol, it's not even comparable when talking about the amount of talent that was out prior to the season from NE versus anywhere else. Injuries sure, there have been plenty of injuries since the season has started that add up or equal more, but pretending you losing older players that you had replacements for is the same thing, is just laughable.
e: No one thinks replacing TB is going to be easy or that this is the exact same thing as it's always been. Myself and everyone else here just think it's a bad joke when everyone's acting like we're going to be a dumpster fire, when we're clearly missing a HUGE component of our defense that helped cover up the flaws of our offense (even with TB). If Cam doesn't straight lose three games for us, we're in the lead of the division right now lol. I understand finding a decent QB is going to be hard, but there are plenty of people with game manager potential under the right scheme that'll plug into this team, especially if we can add a playmaker or two.
It's just not over yet and it's silly to pretend it is.
You had 3 opt outs total...
We had 5 or 6 players actually. Like I said, couple guys retired because of it and aren't counted on the opt out lists. And our replacements were rookies who got tossed straight into the fire, that were supposed to be depth while they developed.
You lost a 33 year old Chung, a 30 year old Hightower, and a 32 year old RT in Cannon. A couple of old vets who's better days are behind them. The rest of your opt outs are nothing but guys in the league. Replaceable guys. It's on Bill to have replacements behind them no matter what.
