Once you get a good lineup, upgrades don't end up being so expensive because you sell the player you won't be using and recoup a large piece of the original cost. I finished the Deion Sanders collection and was able to sell my 3cb for 20k. That mitigates some of the cost to actually upgrade.

Do you play through seasons or do challengers that end up awarding packs? Head to head season allows you to earn packs as well.

You should eventually get something from some of those packs
