I don't think tanking would be a good idea. They have a playoff team if they sign fitz and solidly the line. Fitz took a lot of hits last year but he played his ass off. I was very impressed with him during thr patriots game last year.
If i recall correctly he played really well vs us until the 4th quarter he made a head scratcher throw or two
The jets almost always seem to play us well recently within the past few years

The JETS know this year the schedule is a lot tougher and Fitz will not take them anywhere. They might as well bite the bullet and see what they got or tank the season and be in a position to draft a franchise QB higher up in the 1st round.
But fan pressure has made many a team owner do funny things. So while this defies football sense, won't be surprised if it still ends up happening.
Dear god as a pats fan i hope they tank but i doubt thats gonna happen theyll have no choice to sign fitz IMO 1 year deal
