Regarding the az/ne trade...I think it's great for both teams. Cards pass rush looks really scary now. I'm sure the pats fans are upset about it but they needed something to help that o line. Cooper just wasn't working out in Arizona and I hate to say it but if anyone create a player turnaround, it's the pats. Essentially, they traded a player who got beat out by Ted Larsen and a 2nd for an arguably top 5 and up and coming pass rusher. The pats on the other hand got a 2nd rounder and someone who I guarantee they can turn into a stud. Even though they don't have a first round pick, two second rounders this year is just as good. So much talent in the first three rounds. I think it's really a win for both teams even if the pats don't like getting rid of such a nice young pass rusher. If they somehow get Robert Nkemdiche in the second...damn
Quite happy getting Chandler Jones. Would prefer him to anyone we could get in the draft or free agency from the start. Insignificant assets were given up, Steve Keim is moving on from his 1st mistake as GM and a late 2nd in a mediocre draft. Gets us our best 3-down pass rusher since Bert Berry. Would still like to bring Freeney back though.
Cooper would probably be a different player if not for his broken leg his first preseason, but still not a fan of drafting a guard that high. Maybe he'll put it back together, maybe he won't. Would've had to compete for a job on the line this year.
Hopefully Humphries is ready to play at RT because right now we need Watford at RG. Suppose our 1st could be used on the OL for the 3rd time in 4 years as well given the lack of talent elsewhere.
